HERMOSA BEACH SOCCER CLUB ESTABLISHES CHARITY FOUNDATION
HBSC CHARITABLE FOUNDATION TO BENEFIT TO AT-RISK YOUTH

September 11, 2008

Hermosa Beach, CA - The Hermosa Beach Soccer Club (www.HermosaBeachSoccerClub.com) today announced that it has established the HBSC Charitable Foundation. The HBSC Charitable Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is dedicated to improving the lives of at-risk youth through its support of recreational and educational programs. The HBSC Charitable Foundation will carry out its mission through many activities that include the collection and donation of new and used soccer equipment for the benefit of low-income youth, a scholarship program for scholar athletes from low- and moderate-income families and support of community events such as the L.A. Watts Summer Games, of which it has been a longstanding supporter.

"We are pleased to have the opportunity to give back to the community through the HBSC Charitable Foundation," said HBSC President Brian Dragich. "Youth today face so many obstacles. Through the efforts of our players and donors we have the opportunity to provide needed support to the local community."

"The Hermosa Beach Soccer Club strongly believes in doing what it can to support the local community. HBSC will leverage its ties within the soccer community to encourage broader participation in activities that benefit at-risk youth," said HBSC Founder Jesse Torres. "Through the distribution of soccer equipment to disadvantaged youth, scholarships to scholar athletes from low- and moderate-income families and ongoing support of community events such as the L.A. Watts Summer Games, HBSC looks to provide needed resources as well as to inspire other clubs to do the same."

Individuals and organizations may support the HBSC Charitable Foundation by sending a tax deductible contribution to HBSC Charitable Foundation, 409 North Pacific Coast Highway #414, Redondo Beach, CA 90277. Donation receipts will be promptly mailed to all donors.

The Hermosa Beach Soccer Club extends its gratitude to its generous sponsors: Del Amo Construction (DelAmoConstruction.com), Elliott/Drinkward Construction (ElliottDrinkward.com), Security Savings Bank (BankPlace.com), Coastline Steel (CoastlineSteel.com), Quality Seafood (QualitySeafood.net), SCS Engineering Inc (SCSEngineering.com) and FFI Soccer Magazine (FFISoccer.com).

The Hermosa Beach Soccer Club was founded in 2000. Located in Los Angeles' South Bay, HBSC is home to elite men's Premier, Over-30 and Over-40 teams as well as an elite women's Premier team.
