Marc grew up in suburban Philadelphia, playing youth soccer for the Greater Chester Valley Soccer Association (GCVSA) Kicks ('75) and later the FC Delco Blue Demons, which won successive state outdoor and indoor titles in Pennsylvania and later a national club title for the U-16 division.  After taking a few years off from the game during college at the University or Michigan (Ann Arbor), he returned to lead Ann Arbor United Soccer Club (adult men's team) his senior year.  After graduation Marc decided to return home to Philadelphia to coach high school soccer in his hometown.  Marc has spent the last seven years residing in California, including four years in the Bay Area (Berkeley and Oakland), and he currently lives in Culver City.  He works for a nonprofit technical assistance provider, Shelter Partnership, which focuses on public policy and affordable housing throughout Los Angeles County.
