John grew up in St George, Ut where he played for the Vipers Soccer Club. After attending the US Military Academy at West Point for 2 years he decided to transfer to USC. At USC John played for the university club team and competed in the Regional Club Soccer Tournament his senior year. John currently lives in Hermosa Beach where he is working on a PhD in Engineering at USC.
